Barrel & Regular Fits is where Marcy Clothing keeps the bottoms with an actual shape to them — jeans and trousers cut wide through the thigh and drawn back in below the knee, alongside the straight regular fits that never went away. It is the middle ground between a skinny leg nobody asks for any more and the fully baggy silhouette on our other shelf.

The barrel side gathers pleated, panelled and washed pairs in beige, charcoal, blue and raw indigo, where the curve of the leg is the design rather than a wash or a print. The regular side runs to cotton cargo pants in black, olive, grey and light beige, crinkled and structured trousers in white and grey, corduroy track pants, and plain denim in light blue, grey, indigo and white. Cargo detailing appears throughout, and the pockets on those pairs are built to be used rather than looked at.
