Baggy Jeans & Track Pants

Baggy Jeans & Track Pants is the largest shelf at Marcy Clothing and the one that defines how the shop dresses men right now — wide-leg denim and roomy track pants, gathered at our store on 13th Avenue in Borough Park, Brooklyn. Washes run from ice blue and light blue through mid and dark indigo to charcoal, carbon black and washed olive, with cream, beige and brown for anyone who wants out of the blue-and-black default.

The denim side covers tinted washes, distressed and ripped pairs, cargo-pocket jeans, studded and printed styles, and plain solid pairs built on five pocket construction with belt loops and reinforced stitching. The track pant side runs from panelled and pleated styles to waffle and melange surfaces, most with an elasticated waistband, a drawcord and side pockets. Cotton does most of the work across both halves, with denim, corduroy and linen in the mix where the piece calls for it.

A baggy leg wears best with a fitted top half, and it needs footwear the hem can sit over — chunky sneakers, low court shoes, boots. Sizes run the waist range from twenty-eight to forty-two. Start here if you want the shape everyone is actually wearing, and let the wash decide how loud the pair reads.
